Therapy with me is about creating a space where young people can be real—where they don’t have to perform, pretend, or have everything figured out.
Depending on your needs and preferences, our sessions might look a little different from traditional therapy. Some teens find it easier to open up while moving their bodies, so I offer walk-and-talk sessions for those who feel more comfortable talking side by side instead of sitting face to face.
I also offer animal-assisted therapy with the help my trained therapy dog, which can provide extra comfort, grounding, and connection. especially when talking about big feelings feels intimidating.
For teens who prefer more traditional sessions, we might use tools like mindfulness, EMDR (when appropriate), or parts work to better understand emotions and how they show up in everyday life. My approach is always collaborative, creative, and trauma-informed.
